console下可以看视频？用mplayer？怎么玩？

mplayer -identify -frames 0 -vo null -ao null -really-quiet <file_you_wanna_know.XXXX>

mplayer有什么不好吗？

普通的控制台肯定不行，得开 framebuffer。
如果你只是要 framebuffer 下，那么启动个 xserver-xfbdev 算了，
而后就可以直接用 X 下的各种播放器，如 

xserver-xfbdev - Linux framebuffer device tiny X server
 xserver-xfbdev is a Linux framebuffer device tiny X server based on the
 kdrive X server.

xserver-xfb跟framebuffer不是一回事情好哇

xserver-xfb是基于vga16fb的模式，就是vesa1.1/2.0的模式做的 我的理解就是啥加速多没有。

kernel framebuffer本身有加速的，尽管少的可怜，rivafb intelfb这种多能支持有限的加速模式，

真正基于framebuffer + 硬件加速的，就是directfb. 不过directfb上面也就gtk自己玩的happy，除了gtk,好像没啥应用库（好像qt有移植）

一般的硬件加速写法，大部分照opengl/mesa ，mesa实现又是基于X 的框架。加速的玩法是在xserver的驱动里面打开，在kernel里面没有对应的opengl接口。

普通的控制台的意思是vt100/vt102的话，那就没啥好说了

framebuffer的好处是启动快，占地小。不过高级货多不跟他玩。

额，貌似一开始的需求只是要看高清文件的视频/音频编码信息

如果只看信息不是playback的话，可以看看这个：

有Linux命令行版本的。
