Shite'n'Onions is very proud to announce the North American release of
TROUBLE PILGRIM the third album by seminal Irish punk band THE
RADIATORS FROM SPACE through it newly formed label - SnOMusic.

“Then the Radiators From Space came out, Television Screen, which was
a great single, that was a real inspiration to us” – Bono, U2

The Radiators from Space have a long and storied history being one of
the first wave of "British Punk" bands, inspiring (for better or
worse) U2 to form and arguably being the first modern Irish rock band
(yeah, I know Thin Lizzy came before them but it was the Rads that set
the sound, attitude and direction of Irish rock as we know it
today....and I'm happy to debate anyone on that point)

The CD and LP is available directly from www.shitenonions.com and
CDbaby and digitally through iTunes - so do me a favor and show your
love for Shite'n'Onions and help me stay outta the frigging poor house
and buy a feckin CD or better still buy the LP it's very limited and
if you don't like it (and you will) you can hock it on eBay for twice
the price (hopefully)

A brief history of The Radiators From Space:
The Radiators were part of the 1976/77 wave of "British" punk bands,
their 1st single predated the debut Clash release and they were the
1st punk band to have a top 20 hit anywhere in the world. Tragically,
during a punk festival the band organized in Dublin a fan was stabbed
to death and this pretty much ended the bands career in then
conservative Ireland. A move to London followed, where they recorded a
2nd album. This album was poorly received as it was a little too
advanced for the late 70s punk scene and failed to sell, the band
split (a couple of years back the Irish Times newspaper rated this
album Ghosttown as the 3rd greatest Irish rock album of all time).

Philip Chevron joined THE POGUES (where he still remains) and Steve
Averill has been designing album sleeves for U2 since 1980 (he also
suggested the name U2 to them).

The band reformed in 2004 for a tribute show to Phil's occasional
Pogues buddy Joe Strummer and a new album, Trouble Pilgrim, a modern
classic was recorded.

Review of Trouble Pilgrim from The Big Takeover
Anyone recall Dublin, Ireland’s Radiators from Space and their classic
Chiswick records’ output from the initial 1977-79 punk wave era? If
so, then you know they were no joke when it comes to turning in a
decent tune—in no small part thanks to future-Pogues guitarist Philip
Chevron’s immense songcrafting talent. If you recall the band’s second
and last record (1979’s Ghostown for Chiswick), you well know that the
band graduated from pogo and spit long before it became de rigueur for
punk bands to adapt or die. And this third full-length shows them
picking up exactly where they left off 32 years ago and then some.
Whoever says there is no such thing as a second chance gave up on life
a long time ago! This is wonderful, all ’round in every way!
