Just came across https://www.easypost.com
Would tapping in to their API make like a lot easier for the developers of this extension?
I'm not a developer so not sure if this is an option but thought I would throw it out there.

This looks pretty nifty... Have you tried it yet? I'm thinking I might just email the devs and see if they're interested in working together on an integration...

I have tried it out along with the Woo Commerce integration and was really impressed.
