We are launching our online shop today (with Magento) and I have been trying to properly finalize the configuration of the ShipSync module, but so far, I still have many problems. Unfortunately, no one at FedEx seems to be able to help me since it wasn't internally developed. I would sincerely appreciate any help you can give me on the following issues:

1. Our commercial contract with FedEx has the following negociated rates for these services: FedEx Priority overnight for France, FedEx International Economy and FedEx International Priority for the rest of Europe. As of today, only "FedEx International Economy" shows up as an option in the check out - and not at the appropriate price. Is that a matter of BO configuration or something to do with my contract at FedEx?

2. As mentioned previously, the rates aren't correct. They are showing up as way more expensive than they should be in the check out process.
Does that come from a bad configuration of the services (priority, economy, etc.) or maybe from the packaging configuration? As a matter of fact, we will not be using FedEx packs, but our own. Therefore I have selected "our pack" in the BO, but shouldn't you be able to inform the dimensions of it? Thus I am wondering if that's what's influencing the prices.

3. Are there any user guides? I have seen a document, but it is much more oriented towards the installation of the module as opposed to the use of it.

Otherwise, the label is printing out correctly and the generation of an automatic tracking number is also working.

Thank you for your help, it would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Alexandra

I'd be interested in your results as our FedEx rates come out high also. Seems to be showing standard rates rather than our discounted rates.

Hi Wayne,

Apparently, as long as your are in "test" mode, your account rates won't appear. Also, you must select "Account rates" as opposed to "List Rates". I am still testing though, hopefully that will fix the rate problem.

Regards,

Alexandra

Yeah, I have had those settings for a long time. :(

Also never could get the SmartPost to work correctly.

Playing with this further I discovered that I had failed to enter some of my new box sizes. This has helped get some of the shipments better...

Hi Wayne,

Can I ask you how you entered your box dimensions? I see this field: Packages Enable Dimensions (Yes/No) - do I need to enable that?

Thank you!

Yes, turn that on, I think there are two places to turn that feature on, then go to: configuration/sales/shipping settings/Shipsync Packages   and enter all of your box sizes. Becareful that you have a box size for everything in your store as it will error out and not supply and fedEx shipping options if you do not define a box that a product will fit in. Or if you have something large that does not need a box, in the product details is a field for shipping in its own box.

Got to run...
