Historical Information Sought for Samuel Voyage 1737 from Rotterdam to Cowes, to Philadelphia

Hi,

I'm just getting into overseas research on my father's family line. Herman Hartman, came to Philadelphia in Aug.1737 aboard the Samuel.  The records that I have show the ship leaving Rotterdam, making port in Cowes, then crossing the Atlantic to Philadelphia?

I'm looking for ANY historical information regarding this voyage. I have the ship manifest of passengers (among which was my ancestor) but little else. Can you all help please?  He was a Palatine German and I'm trying to find out as much as I can about him and the voyage he took.
