We owe a debt of gratitude to Gillian who picked up the air conditioner tonight!  YEAH Gillian and I didn't know you had a bad back or I would never have let you do it.

Thanks to those who helped get it up the steps tonight and into our room.

We need to rebuild the wood frame that holds it so Sunday we will need wood (Manfred said he had some), and a power drill with both drill bits and screw bits (attention Scott).  We have to in the end screw the ac into the metal window in at least 3 places so we need a powerful hopefully battery drill with bits that can make holes in metal.

The ac unit is beautiful!

hi Folks,

No no no. I just swung by to and from; it was easy--and even easier because those nice people walked it up that crazy flight of stairs!

Kalen,

Steel might be a better choice. I was thinking not only the weight of
the AC but for security concerns. I remember how mad Father Brown was
after we let the window open. Steel is easier and faster. I was
thinking of some bars to keep out the varmints. I've got scrap laying
around. Maybe put it in temp with wood and make the final one out of
steel.
