Got a wonderful holiday card from Ryoten whom many of you know from Ryumonji. On the front it says...

Also something for you all to visualize. Monday at work at Farmington the inmates who work for me at the chapel wanted to put up Christmas decorations. I found several boxes of them in a back room and most of it was garland. So I left the room to do some phone calls and came back to find 6 "hardened criminals" dancing around the room draped in garland singing holiday songs. I still laugh when I think of it.
Finally, a note from Lance who is with the Native American group at Bowling Green...

I love your stories as always! Holiday ones are great to get also.
If you send along Lance's email I'll send one of the cards I'm writing. I'm including some quotes from folks like Dogen, Lao Tzu, Pema Chodron, etc, like I did last year.
My dad is being hilarious (I sent him a note saying that my Zen teacher friend forwarded his story): He got on the phone today with me (with tongue in cheek) and said, "So how about Zen Master-Me?"
