Hi,

Scenario: I have an app that allows users to upload their own data and do a model run. Is there any way for me to view the user-uploaded data and user-generated results files on the server and download them? Also, I'd like to have the option to selectively delete some user-generated files. I'll also like to see the log file that helps with debugging on the server (especially when the app works perfectly locally but runs into an error on the server!)

Previously this was possible using an FTP software, but I'm not sure how it works with the shinyapps package.

Thanks!

Regards,
JinRou

I'd like to know that too.

Previously, on spark.rstudio.com I would do this:

# copy any .Rds file to target directory
scp -r myn...@spark.rstudio.com:ShinyApps/data/*.Rds ~/shiny/data/

# copy to current directory (with the dot to indicate current directory)
scp myn...@spark.rstudio.com:ShinyApps/data/*.Rds .

# delete remote file: (can't remember if this worked, maybe need to sudo)
rm myn...@spark.rstudio.com:ShinyApps/data/*.Rds

I tried the same by analogy, replacing spark.rstudio.com with shinyapps.io, but it didn't work, should it have worked?

I'd like to know the equivalent commands on shinyApps, thanks!

Hi Patrick

You mention in your conversation with Jeff Allen you were going to look into RCurl, so did you do this, and which code did you use exactly? I am unsure with RCurl command to use here and which path I should refer to. Thanks!
