Account names can not be changed. However you can go to https://www.shinyapps.io/register and create a second account with whatever name you like. You will then have to register your account by running. Using your existing token and secret.

shinyapps::setAccountInfo("new account", token=... , secret=...)

Please keep in mind that once you have two accounts you need to use the account parameter when deploying your applications:

deployApp(account="new account")

Hi, thanks for your response. Unfortunately I cannot create new account unless I will use other email, I cannot use my current gmail/github account because the automatically login.

Hi,

You are using Google to login, you should be to select which account to associate with ShinyApps, if you are logged in to more then one Gmail account. The other option would be to use revoke ShinyApps.io access from your gmail account going to:

https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions?pli=1

Logging in to ShinyApps will then prompt to select a gmail account.

Not necessarily, can you explain what you are trying to do?

A user (e.g. an email address) can belong to or own more then one account (an account is something.shinyapps.io). You can have as many accounts and user's as you like, but each user must all have unique email addresses.

Authentication in ShinyApps is tied to your Google account. A google account can not be associated with more then one ShinyApps user. However, a ShinyApps user can have more then one Account (think of Accounts as similar to organizations in GitHub).

For example:

I have a ShinyApps user (an...@rstudio.com) tied to my Gmail account (also an...@rstudio.com).

However my user has multiple ShinyApps accounts:

andy.shinyapps.io

andy2.shinyapps.io

demos.shinyapps.io

gallery.shinyapps.io

I can deploy to any of these accounts by running:

deployApp(account="andy2")

Because of this feature, there is no reason to have more then one ShinyApps user (but it is possible if you have more then one Gmail account).

Sorry, it either not clear or not working for me... My account name is 'pisa', so I tried to create new account name 'pisa2'. Here are the results:

1. shinyapps::setAccountInfo(name='pisa2', token='', secret='')

  Unable to determine account id for account named 'pisa2'

(It looks that my AccountId is null. I don't know how to create new Id).

2. shinyapps::setAccountInfo("new account", name='pisa2', token='', secret='')

  unused argument ("new account")

3. shinyapps::setAccountInfo('new account'', token='', secret='')

  unused argument ("new account")

In the end I just used my second Gmail user (email) for opening new account...
