Hi everybody!

I just finished my first shiny experiment and even managed to upload it. When I opened it I got an error although locally it worked just fine. I figured out what was causing this error, it was the use of "ä" and "ø", once in a comment and once in a string.
I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this and if that is something that is worked on or if I did something wrong.

Oh, and Andy Kipp, when you read this. I got an "Error: /v1/applications/12404/deploy 409 - Unable to deploy application-12404: 1 tasks in progress."
Could you please terminate this. I couldn't find a way to pm you, so I wrote it here. Thank you.

Karl,

We're in the process of figuring out what is going on with non-ascii encoded files, as another user has reported similar problems.

My theory is that your source/data files are encoded in ISO-8859/Windows 1252, which R we're not able to decode (they should be encoded in UTF-8).

./funktionen.R:     UTF-8 Unicode text, with CRLF line terminators
./gametable.csv:    ISO-8859 text, with CRLF line terminators
./manifest.json:    ASCII English text, with very long lines, with CRLF line terminators
./player.csv:       ASCII text, with very long lines, with CRLF line terminators
./read_html.R:      ISO-8859 text, with CRLF line terminators
./server.R:         ISO-8859 text, with CRLF line terminators
./test_read_html.R: ISO-8859 text, with CRLF line terminators
./ui.R:             UTF-8 Unicode text, with CRLF line terminators

Can you send the output of sessionInfo()?

Thanks
-Andy
