How long to learn Shiny

Hi,

I'm new to Shiny and was wondering how long it would take to learn Shiny if someone had only 6 months of general programming experience (not necessarily in R).

I think that if you know the basics of R you could build your first shiny application within 2 hours.  I would estimate that you can be proficient in building shiny applications within a few weeks.  Becoming an expert takes considerably longer.
