Hello,
I just got a shinyApps account and I went to sign in with my Google account. I hit a screen where I was asked to give shinyApps access to basic info about my account, so I did. However when I click the "Sign in with Google" button all I get is a screen that says "500: Internal Server Error". Is this some problem on my end, or is the server having issues now?

Thanks

JP

JP,
Did you continue to see the issue?  I know that we had an issue on Saturday but it was resolved pretty quickly.
Let us know please.

I just tried again (10:30 am Eastern US, May 26th) and I still have the same issue.
Thanks for looking in to this,

Just to close out this out. The problem here was related to John's Google account not having a first or last name configured, which is currently supported by ShinyApps. John configured a first and last name for his account, and was able to login.

I experienced a similar issue which I suspect was due to the umlaut contained in my first name. Everything worked fine after I created a new google account without the umlaut.

Best regards,

If you set up you app in linux , make sure that you app directory is readable for other users , like chmod 755 and then it may work well.
