googleCharts and R 3.4.4

I see that the googleCharts package is not compatible with R 3.4.4 - is there any expectation for how long that would be the case? It would seem that googleCharts are popular so I was wondering if we'd have to wait long for that to catch up? Also, are there any workarounds besides going back a few versions of R?

This group is for hosting Shiny apps on shinyapps.io.

For a question regarding a specific package and it's compatibility with a specific version of R, I would suggest contacting the package's author. That said, where do you see that it is not compatible?
