Hey guys,

I've been trying to deploy an app to shinyapps and I get the following error.

Preparing to deploy application...DONE
Uploading application bundle...DONE
Deploying application: 19387...
Error: /v1/applications/19387/deploy 409 - Unable to deploy application-19387: 1 tasks in progress.

I've tried terminating the app.  On my shinyapps dashboard it says it's archived. But I still can't deploy. The app url is: https://jkarmel.shinyapps.io/beta/

There are a few threads that are similar:

In this one it sounds like Chad Barraford made some fix to the shinyapps.io platform that fixed it.

So it sounds like Chad can fix this problem. Chad, if you could help me I'd be incredibly grateful. I've just discovered this platform this weekend and it's totally awesome and mindblowing. I hope to use it to share statistical tools within my company, which would be great because we have lots of data but not many statistically minded people.

Best,
Jeremy

Jeremy,

Thanks for letting us know. We went ahead and cleared out these stuck tasks which can occur when we do code upgrades on ShinyApps.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and we're glad you're finding the platform useful.

Thanks
-Andy

Thanks - any advice on how to prevent these problems in the future?

We have taken an action item on our side to improve both the detection of those conditions, as well as some improvements we can make so that the system will recover gracefully.
I don't think there is anything you could have done differently.  We appreciate your patience as we get this platform ready for the beta.
Best,
-Tareef
