It sounds like the issue you are experiencing has more to do with Shiny.

I would suggest you use the Shiny discuss list to get feedback from all the developers who are on that mailing list.  

We look forward to getting your feedback on ShinyApps when you have a chance to do so.

I've jerry-rigged jquery.slider.min.js so that it displays 10^(slider value) - attached.

I have unsuccessfully tried to create a new input binding to use this function. I admittedly do not know how to use javascript.

this is what I have done so far:

1) i've created ...\R\win-library\3.0\shiny\www

2) i've created a new file lslider.js which has the above js code, and the input binding js code. in this file I have replaced the string "slider" with "lslider" EXCEPT for class="jslider" 

3) I added shiny.inputBindings.register(lsliderInput); to the bottom of lslider.js

I am now stuck and dont know what to do next...

I was hoping someone could help me out
