I am hoping to link to a Shiny app I constructed in a paper. I am hoping to use a link that does not expire. Right now, I am simply typing a https URL like the following (https://userName.shinyapps.io/appName) into my paper.

However, will this link expire? If so, is there a suggested method to provide a link to an app that will not (or be less likely to) expire? Thank you.

There is nothing about that link intrinsically that has an expiration.

However, should you desire more control and a layer of indirection, you could look into a URL shortening service such as bitly or Rebrandly.
