My Shinyapp isn't loading assuming that the process is killed due to app_idle time out ?

Here you find my project shiny app.

It read in some posts that the reason could be the app_idle time as the loading of the data takes too much time so the server assumes the app doesn't work and kills the process. How can ich modify this time out for deploying my App at shiny.server. Or do i have to set up shiny-server myself ? Where can i find a good instruction for Ubuntu as the installation instructions I found not really helped?

Your app is loading fine for me, but it gives me this error in the javascript console when I hit the "play" button

Are you seeing  a different error message?

When I make runApp() in RStudio everything works fine, it just takes some 20sec until the population pyramid is loaded , as I make a read.xlsx from  an excel file, which is very time consuming. Also the deploying works fine, no error messages. But if I run the app in the browser with the URL after 20seconds I get the following message (see attached file: errormessage.png)

It is very possible that your app is running out of memory during initialization. You could try deploying your app with large memory size:

shinyapps::configureApp("app_name",account="account_name",size="large",redeploy=TRUE)

and see if that makes a difference.

Thanx your idea worked fine, my app is working now, of course it is too slow, but as my first app, I am happy abt it that it runs, now is time for improving!

Now that I can see your application working, it is a cool app. But I was able to crash it. If after your improvements you still run into memory issue, please refer to:
