Hi, I am receiving  a 502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.4.2 error for my apps on shinyapps.io. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sample app: http://patilv.shinyapps.io/Crimerateshinyapp/

Thanks,
Vivek

Hi Vivek,

I'm running into a similar error (and reported it as an issue on GitHub). I noticed that your page is up and running now. Care to share how you resolved it?

Thanks,

-Carson

Carson,

I didn't do anything to that :-)... Since I had already deployed the app in a blog post, I ended up tweaking the code to run it from the older glimmer server. During the time I had that error, there was another of my app on shinyapps.io that had the same error. My suspicion is that there were some changes being made on the server which caused the problem.

That said, did you try deploying a dummy app to test if it was a problem with the code of the specific app or whether it might be an issue with the account or the server. One way to test if the issue was with the server could be to give us the code so that one could deploy it on the site and check if it worked from a different user's account.

Best,
Vivek

The 502 error occurs occasionally and I do not know the reason,
either. Normally I just try to terminateApp() and wait for a few hours
so that either the server recovers magically or someone fixes the
problem.

Yihui

Thanks for the suggestion Yihui! Unfortunately, I get the following --

> terminateApp(appName = "demo")
Terminating application...
Error: /v1/applications/10959/terminate 409 - 1 task(s) in progress

Fortunately, I was able to get some other apps up and running so no need to obsess over why this doesn't work right now :)

Thanks,

-Carson
