inputPanel customize element size?

Hi All,

Is is possible to customize the size of each element in an inputPanel?

I'm creating a data entry form with some items that are small such as entering a year, and others that are very large by comparison such as entering a full journal article citation which is essentially a paragraph worth of text.  I'm aware of the cellArgs argument, but that seems to only enable changing the size of all inputs in the inputPanel rather than changing the size of individual items.

If not is a fluidRow(column(),column(),...),fluidRow(...) approach my best option?
