run multiple shiny apps in open source shiny server

We are testing R shiny and would like to host multiple apps. I gather that this is possible in the open source version by opening multiple R-sessions. I found related questions on stack overflow - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22938305/run-multiple-instances-of-rstudio-in-a-web-browser and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19747536/multiple-independent-r-sessions-in-mac-os-x

I also found on my PC I can start multiple R projects in multiple sessions, through the open project in new window command, but this is not available on shiny server.

What is the simplest way to host multiple apps on the open source server?
