I am relatively new to R but wanted to try out Shiny.  I have signed up for an R Study Shiny hosting account and everything seems to be working when I log into the account and access RStudio through Chrome.  However, when I run "runExample("01_hello")" the console displays "Listening on port 8100" and a Chrome gives me the following error. "Ooops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost:8100".

What should I do to fix this?

My computer is running windows 8 and I am logged into an account that is an administrator.

Thanks in advance for your help with this,

Nick

Are you trying to run runExample from the web based RStudio server? In that case, it won't work. runExample is meant for use with the Desktop version of RStudio.

Thanks Ramnath.  I was trying to run runExample from the web based version, I'll give it a try in the desktop version instead.
