Hi Guys,

I was wondering, does Shiny support executing Python scripts? I know I can use rPython to write out Python syntax in Shiny but can I download python packages like pandas, urllib or operator on the Shiny server?

Thanks,
Abdur

Yes. Just make sure the user that actually runs the Shiny app (by default it's "shiny") has access to those libraries.

You might also consider our new "reticulate" package for using Python from R.

I'm assuming he is talking about his own shiny server and not the shinyapps.io.
Joe is your answer true for shinyapps.io as well
