Hi,
       I thought after installing 'shiny' I can use functions like fluidPage. Isn't that so ?

Thanks,
Mohan

Ofcourse.

well it's a good step ;-) I agree that after loading the fluidPage function should be there... can you provide a minimal example?

This is ui.R

Other examples that are working don't use this function. I tried without the 'theme' also.

library(shiny)

shinyUI(fluidPage(theme = "bootstrap.css",

  titlePanel("Legerdemain"),

  navlistPanel(
    "Garbage Collection",
    tabPanel("Generations",
      h3("Heap")
    ),
    tabPanel("Threads",
      h3("Threads and Locks")
    ),
    "-----",
    tabPanel("JIT",
      h3("Methods")
    )
  )
))

Thanks,
Mohan

You are likely to be using an outdated version of shiny. Please
provide library(shiny);sessionInfo(), or run update.packages(ask =
FALSE).

Yihui

I updated.

Should I use a newer version of R or shiny again ?

Ok. I am using a newer version of the pre-built binaries of R for OSX and shiny 0.9. Now it is working.

Thanks,
Mohan

R 2.15.1 and shiny 0.5 are way too old. Whenever you have got trouble,
check if there are new versions of packages (either R or R packages),
and test them if there are.
