I upgraded to Shiny Server 1.4.0, but can't use it.

$ lsb_release -a
Distributor ID:    Ubuntu
Description:    Ubuntu Wily Werewolf (development branch)
Release:    15.10
Codename:    wily
dario@bioinfo:~$ cat /usr/local/shiny-server/VERSION
1.4.0.0
dario@bioinfo:~$ sudo start shiny-server
start: Unable to connect to Upstart: Failed to connect to socket /com/ubuntu/upstart: Connection refused

Are there any other settings to change ?

Rather than "sudo start shiny-server", which is the Upstart command, you want the systemd command, which is "sudo systemctl start shiny-server". However, the act of installing it should have also started it.

Sorry that the binary has not been published to the website yet--we're working on it...
