Downloading data from yahoo finace

Hi, 

I've deployed an app that needs data from yahoo finance using quantmod package. Locally works perfectly but in the server cannot connect. Do you know if there is a firewall or I need upgrade my account?

Hi Pedro,

You are possibly hitting rate limits imposed by Yahoo per IP address. If others are running similar API calls, you may or may not receive data, resulting in a bit of confusion as to why it works sometimes but not at other times.

One way around this is obtaining an API key and using it in your app.
