Hi,
We (
http://shinken-solutions.com/) are about to release the first official version of Shinken Enterprise. Should be out in the next week with all details about it in a public announce.
But I want to take some time today to explain what is it and the main difference with the framework version.
One key point: it's not a *better* shinken. It's just different. It's a all in one solution.
Some users want to have the full power of the framework, manage the configuration with vi/macs and they are fully happy with Thruk/Multisite. Most of you in the mailing list are in this case in fact ( ^◡^)っ
Such users don't need the Enterprise. It's just so easy.
They know how to install and maintain a framework installation. They know how to architecture their monitoring configuration. They want a perfectly adapted monitoring. That's what the framework is done for :)
(They just need professional support but Shinken Solutions have such an offer for them)
But some others want "one click install" and automatic things (especially configuration) that give them a "good" monitoring. They don't have as much time as the first one or don't want to read the whole documentation before start to monitor.
For them my company is proposing such a solution: the Enterprise edition.
That's why I think the Enterprise edition do not impact the framework (aside my time availability): they are not for the same use case.
There are other "all in one" solutions based on Shinken (I think about Kaji for example). But it's not a problem, we are loving competition ᕦ(ò_ó*)ᕤ
