Hi shiners.
an update on the easter holiday event on 13th April.
personally i think tesco's is a good landmark for people to find.
suggestion from Hellen; meet at 11am. 1hour litter pick, followed by picnic (bring your own), followed by planting, bramble cutting and games. sounds great to me!...but let me know if anyone has another preference. Plan is to finish 1ish.

Hope to hear from you all

Hi Debbie,

Good to hear from you.  Sorry for the late reply, I have been out of the office a lot recently.
We could meet at 11 am either at the big Tesco's at Spital Hill (Attercliffe Road side - near petrol station) if that's easier or on Warren Street, where we started/finished last time.  Here is a map, it is the end that is near the Princess Street junction.

We can do an hour or so litter picking then stop for some lunch if people want to bring a pack up (picnic matts will be required). We can then do some more litter picking or we could try some basic plant maintenance (cutting bramble etc with loppers/secateurs) or play a game/do some bird watching/wildlife spotting if you prefer!

Let me know what you think that they group would like to do.

Best wishes

Hellen

Hi Hellen,
was thinking of starting to send out reminders for the event on the 13th April.
Have you got an idea of times/ meeting points/ activities?
Hope we get some good weather.

Hi Debbie,

Yes don't worry I can provide all the kit, litter pickers, bin bags etc!

Shame that they can't even support volunteer groups to do what the
Council should be doing anyhow!
So much for the big society!

I'll give Nabeel a ring just to make sure everything is OK before Easter.

Best wishes

Hellen
