Hi,

I am trying to set ShineISP up to control and bill Internet connections. Has anyone done this before?
The clients are connecting to our server through VPN and then the traffic needs to be accounted if not an unlimited account.

Thanks a lot!

Hi LifeStrike,

we use it for handle all kind of customers and products. You can handle recurring products or simple product.

ShineISP helps you to handle the invoices, orders, customers and if you are a developer you can create a module that connect our software with your service by API.
At the moment we have not developed any specific solution for counting the used client internet traffic because this is delegated to the ISP Server software like ISPConfig, Plesk, etc....

Hi Tadas,

if included, every software can connect its database using the API. So if you need to connect ShineISP to an external software you have to:

1. obtain the API of the external software (Plesk, ISPConfig, etc...)
2. create a module in ShineISP

In order to create a module in ShineISP, it is quite simple. Look at http://www.shineisp.com/api-connections/

Regards
