Hi friends,

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thank you all for your love and support these past few weeks as our family transitions to Houston. We deeply appreciate the kind words and your prayers. They have been a tremendous support and encouragement, knowing that we have brothers and sisters who are cheering us on. Here are some updates as to what's going on, and if you can, would you please continue to pray for our family.

UPDATE
  • THANKSGIVING TEXAS STYLE: Below you can see how we celebrated the Lord's blessings. The picture is of 3 lbs of Texas' finest smoke brisket. If you have ever eaten my brisket, please accept my deepest apologies because I have done you no justice. God has been good to us and we have much thanks to give Him.
  • QUANG GOT A JOB: Praise God for providing a full-time retail job so quickly. Although it is not necessarily what we had in mind, nevertheless it is a job that can grow, and it can support us until I can find something better.
  • STEWARD IS HEALTHY: Praise God for bodies that heal themselves. Carol caught a little something but is quickly getting over it. I'm also thankful that God has kept me healthy especially with the new job.
PRAYER
  • A BETTER JOB: I'm hoping to find a more stable and sustainable job. Right now, the retail job has me working various days, including Sunday afternoons. The job also requires that I stay on my feet about 95% of the time. My first day of work was brutal on my back and feet. The pay is not all that great either. Ideally, I would like to have a M-F 9-5 kind of job that doesn't require me to be on my feet for so long, and can actually pay some bills.
  • A HOME OF OUR OWN: We're looking to purchase a home. For financial, spiritual, and overall quality of life reasons, we would like to have our own home. I do realize that this is a quite a first-world prayer request. But if it is in God's will, would you please consider praying for our own home?
  • ANOTHER CAR: Again, another first-world prayer request. My work is 15 miles away from where we live. So far, it has not been a problem for Carol and the kids to be at home while I'm at work. But if Carol drops me off, that means we would put a lot of wear and tear on the car if she keeps the car. Therefore, it would be good to have another car.
  • HEALTH INSURANCE: Right now, we have none. Nuff said.
We usually send out Christmas cards, but will most likely not do so this year. If you would like to send us a card or any other piece of mail, we would be more than happy to receive it. For now, you can send us mail at the address below. Again, we miss you all dearly and are thankful for your prayers, your partnership in the gospel, and for your love and support.

Love,
Quang, Carol, Faith, and Steward
