Come spend a morning drinking coffees and eating pastries :D  Even if you don't like coffee, you should join us for the snacks and just a fun morning of hanging out.

The plan is to meet at church at 8AM and carpool from there.

On the docket is (in no particular order):
Cofax Coffee Shop (for their breakfast burritos)
Paramount Coffee Project (Australian style coffee, oooh)
Go Get 'Em Tiger
Maybe Proof?
And finally end with lunch and an open ended, caffeinated afternoon to study/play/drink more coffee. ;)

Please reply so I can get a count of who plans to join us and carpool! Woo!

Oh a quick correction:  Probably not Proof, but rather the new Verve cafe.  :)

Hello friends!

Excited to hang, sip and spend quality time with everyone tomorrow!  We've mentioned the plan here and there, just wanted to consolidate it:

1. Meet at Church @ 8am.  We'll be driving around a bit, so we'll meet at church and carpool.  Have playlists ready!
2. COFAX and Paramount Coffee Project.  We'll start w/ breakfast burritos at Cofax (w/ smoked potato!) and head down the street to Paramount Coffee Project for Australian accents and coffee (maybe we could all share their burrata w/ poached eggs?).
3. More coffee places!  Probably the new Verve in West Hollywood (on Melrose) and then Go Get Em Tiger (in Larchmont).  Besides great coffee, they have waffles at GGET too, so why not?
4. Lunch!  Where?  I don't know.  There's a new burger spot called "Burger Lords" in Chinatown, but that's all the way across "town." There's a bunch of Thai places around there, but hey, I'm always down for Chipotle too.
5. BARISTA: Coffee Documentary @ Josh Leu's place.  Barista is an awesome glance into barista life and competitions (it's really a thing) and it centers on the LA coffee scene that we'll be exploring during the day.  It seems to be well done, interesting enough for coffee and non-coffee drinkers alike.

Whether you like coffee or not, feel free to join!  It will be fun, or in the very least stimulating.  Eating, drinking, or whatever, we have an opportunity to encourage each other and recognize God's glory and goodness (even in making food and coffee!).  And, let matt know if you haven't already!

Hi friends,

As we embark on our coffee journey, let's consider these questions!  With my selfish tendencies and inclination, I need to direct myself to consider how to be intentional even in mundane, enjoyable things.

1. How do we eat burritos and drink lattes to the glory of God?  What does 1 Cor. 10:31, and it's surrounding context, tell us about this?  On the other hand, how/when do we eat and drink in a way that does not honor God?

2. What is something that you enjoy that reminds you of God's goodness?  (1 Tim. 6:17)

3. How do we use our different hobbies, interests, and passions in a way that unites rather than divides?  Do we hold them humbly and unselfishly?

Just some questions to keep in mind! Discuss if you'd like, but excited to spend time with everyone, coffee or not.  See you soon!
