Trek to PEB ( Vikatgad) on 12th July with Green Carpet

Hey hi guys , I am really glad to tell you that Green Carpet has organized a one day trek to PEB ( vikatgad) on 12th July 09.

.
This fort is opposite to matheran. Fort Peb is situated on northeast side of Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road, at a distance of 3-4 km on west side of Neral. This is the most beautiful one-day trek. But there is a dense forest on the way to the fort Peb. The fort is also named as ‘VikatGad’. Historical references clearly indicate that Shivaji Maharaj used the caves on the fort as silos for grain storage.

Meeting point : 7.50 am at Neral station. Train table is mentioned below the plan.


Things to carry are :

1. A bottle of water (2 Ltrs).
2. Lunch for the day.
3. Camera (Optional)
4. Snacks.
5. an extra pair of clothes.
6. A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking. Pls do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
