Shift has now published the results of the listening exercise into
Action on Stigma, our mental health and employment inititative.

> Re: Action on stigma - Promoting mental health, ending discrimination
>
> I am writing to update you on progress with the Action on Stigma initiative. You will remember that we conducted a 'listening exercise' to find out how we could best help employers like you improve the way mental health problems are handled in the workplace.
>
> The results of this exercise have now been published in a report. I am very pleased to say 89% of those we asked about the initiative gave it their backing. The report goes into more detail about your recommendations for making it work, which have been very instructive and helpful.
>
> We too in Government have a lot to learn about improving our employment practices in this way. I hope you will join us in signing up to this initiative when we publish the Action Plan in the autumn. It will set out exactly what help we are going to make available, so that your staff and your business can benefit.
>
> If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Shift, the government campaign to tackle the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness, on T: 0845 223 5447 or E: sh...@csip.org.uk.

++ Good practice ++
As well as our Action on Stigma work, we are also always keen to hear
of any examples of people, organisations or initiatives that are
making a positive difference to the lives of people with experience of
mental health problems.
If you know of or are involved with any examples of good practice
taking place anywhere in the country, we would like to hear about
them.
Please email sh...@csip.org.uk with your examples.
Many thanks,
All at Shift
