The Shift Speakers' Bureau is seeking more members from BME groups

The Shift Speakers Bureau is an exciting project which supports people
who have mental health problems to speak out about their experiences
in the media.

The bureau is challenging media myths and stereotypes about mental
distress by giving people with mental health problems a voice. The
bureau is being run by the charity Mental Health Media on behalf of
Shift, a campaign to tackle the stigma and discrimination surrounding
mental health issues in England.

The bureau is now expanding its work, and is seeking more members from
black and minority ethnic (BME) groups.

If you have experienced mental health problems and want to help us put
a stop to stigma and discrimination, the Speakers' Bureau team would
like to hear from you!
