Hi all,

I am trying to install my first Service Provider on RHEL 5 / Apache 2.2 (Not the Redhat install). I installed the SP using the rpm binary for RHEL.

I think I have everything basically up and running, ./httpd –M shows mod_shib (shared). Except I seem to get an error when I access this URL:

https://localhost/Shibboleth.sso/Status

results in:

<StatusHandler time="2011-08-29T15:11:19Z">

<Version Xerces-C="3.1.1" XML-Tooling-C="1.4.2" Shibboleth="2.4.3"/>

<NonWindows sysname="Linux" nodename="test-shib.acs.utah.edu" release="2.6.18-274.el5" version="#1 SMP Fri Jul 8 17:36:59 EDT 2011" machine="x86_64"/>

<Status>

<Exception type="shibsp::ListenerException">

Cannot connect to shibd process, a site adminstrator should be notified.

</Exception>

</Status>

</StatusHandler>

I have searched the archives and the wiki but can’t seem to find anything that helps.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bryan

Search the wiki for SELinux, which you probably have running.
