 Thank you for the answer. I found out that maven plugin for eclipse was using maven version 3 so I set it for using maven 2.2 and I'm not getting the error now.

Well, that's not really a fix. Maven 3 is the supported version of
Maven now.

Yes this is not, did you compile the jar using goal "jar:jar" or "package"?

I'm not sure what you're asking. When I do releases of our libraries
I use the "deploy" lifecycle target. What goal or lifecyle target you
decide to use is up to you.

Ok, now I understood, I compile using "package" and everything works fine.

It seems to me that the reason of many errors was that I was using eclipse plugin for maven, using maven from the command line gives no errors.
