1. Imam al-Sadiq (A) saying that God Almighty said, "I am the best of friends; one who makes others My part ners in any matter, his deeds are not acceptable to Me. I accept only those acts that are purely done for My sake."

2.Said al-Imam al-Sadiq (A) that Amir al-mu'minin (A) said: `There are three distinguishing features of one accustomed to riya': he expresses joy and cheerfulness when he is greeted by people; he becomes cheerless and sullen when alone; and he wishes to be praised for everything he does.'
