Much like last year, we are again starting to work with Muslim community members to provide free workshop and activities for seniors.
You do not need to be a registered non-profit to avail this opportunity. We will be representing non-incorporated seniors groups, incorporated not-for profit organisations, and other informal seniors groups to design a program for them and deliver it on either their premises or a community centre.
This time we are working towards acquiring 'Seniors Community Grants', the first grant program in Ontario dedicated solely to seniors, is designed to give seniors more opportunities to participate in their communities by providing funding to not-for-profit community groups for projects that encourage greater social inclusion, volunteerism and community engagement for seniors.
