	Dear Ali Syed Condolences at the Shahadat of Imam Hussain and His (a.s) companions in Karbala Sunday, 27th December, 2009 - United Kingdom: Alhamdulillah, the true message of sacrifice of Imam Hussain A.S was successfully passed on to our youth this year. The Ashra in UK was peaceful and Momineen participated wholeheartedly and overwhelmingly. IUS [Islamic Unity Society - www.ius.org.uk] Though IUS covers many areas of United Kingdom, but their activities in Cheadle, Cheshire (Greater Manchester) are worth mentioning. They held live English lectures for the youth. The lectures were delivered by visiting Sheikh Haji Usama Al-Attar of Vancouver, Canada. Haji's beautiful Qiraat of holy Quran, duas and majalis were the most admirable. The participation by momineen was also overwhelming. The large hall was completely full by momineen, mominaat and children. The majalis started and finished on time in a very disciplined manner. Amazingly, children and mobile phones remained silent through out the lectures. The administrative team seemed to be in full control of events. They also had projector and screen for audience to read along the duas that were recited by the respected speaker. The lecture was also broadcasted live via internet. It may not be wrong to say that this was a character building experience for most. The messages were clear, and, seem to have affected the attendees. Congratulations to IUS management, the guest speaker, and the audiences. I will highly recommend that all momineen and mominaat should become members of IUS, and support them in every possible way. Beside Shia channels many Sunni TV channels also presented programming on sacrifice of Shohuda-e-Karbala. Satellite channel 803 Hidayat TV, channel 836 Ahlebait TV, and channel 842 Ahlulbayt TV were the leading Shia channels, and, Satellite channel 802 DM was the leading among Sunni channels. sorry if i have annoyed by my words but sometimes our collective hypocrisy makes me depressed.
