Because of different tradtions sunni muslims celebrates wiladat of RASOOLALLAH(SAWW) on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal & Shia muslims on 17th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Unity amongst Muslims is a responsibility given by Islam & also the most important responsibility of time so Imam-e-Ummat Imam Khomeni(r.a) voiced '12th-17th Rabi-ul-Awwal as Unity Week amongst Muslims'. So we should celebrate this week practically as unity week with the help of Almighty ALLAH.

Muslim Ummah all over the World is celebrating Hafta-e-Wehdat (The Week of Muslim Unity) from Friday, 12th Rabiul-awal to Wednesday, 17th Rabiual-awal 1429 Hijri, on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of The Holy Prophet, Hazrat Mohammad(PBUH).

The charter of Imam-e-ummat Ayatullah Rooh-Allah Khomeini(RA) is to celebrate this week for the unity of Muslim ummah.

Different Shia and Sunni Organizations also celebrate this week as the protest week against the publication of blasphemous caricatures against the Beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (s.a.w.w) in the newspapers of Denmark.

We muslims are busy bickering over whether to fold or unfold our hands during namaz, while the enemy is devising ways of cuting them off. "Roohullah Khomeni"
