Good Morning Everyone
I am passing this along in the hopes that anyone may know of someone who would like to adopt one of these cats that have been abandoned and need a home. This shelter is out of Stamford, CT, (Friends of Felines) where I adopted one of my kittens. The female, Vivian, is absolutely beautiful. Below is some information about each of them. Please feel free to pass this e-mail along.
Thanks.

Below please find Friends of Felines cats that are currently up for
adoption and in need of help. Please pass along to friends and family who might
be interested. Please see their attached photos.
TIGER
Tiger is a gorgeous, 15 pound Maine Coon mix with a soft
heart and wonderfully huge feet!
If you are looking for someone you can really put your arms around, a buddy to
watch football with or a cat who will happily knead on your chest while
you kiss his big, handsome head, Tiger is for you.
Tiger has tested positive for FIV (no doubt a result of being an abandoned,
unaltered tom) but FIV is no longer thought to be the scary virus it was once,
so yes, it's OK for Tiger to live with you, your dog and even your cat! A
gentle giant who will live a long
and healthy life while making a lucky-someone happy and content for many years
to come. Tiger only wants his own home.
For more information about FIV please go to or website www.adoptapet.org and
check the links in the Nutrition and Health section.
VIVIAN
In this picture, Vivian seems to be modeling the latest
fashion in leg wear, but cats are famously stoic and in reality, Vivian's just
been through more than anyone deserves. An absolutely beautiful, front
declawed, long haired, dilute calico about 5 or 6 years of age, Vivian was
abandoned by her family, then stepped into a leg hold trap. This happened in
the Springdale area of Stamford,
and much as we'd like to think this couldn't happen here, it happened to
Vivian.
Each of her vets agree, the perfectly circular wound, her dislocated
joint and her severed tendons were indicative of a leg hold trap injury, and a
cat trying to get out of one.
The good news is, although her bills and post-op care have been just a bit
overwhelming and Vivian may always have a slight limp, the surgery to repair
this amazingly brave cat's hind ankle was successful, and she will be ready and
waiting for that one purr-fect, forever home come mid-October.
Meanwhile, if you'd like to donate to Vivian's care (Friends of Felines
is a registered non-profit organization so all donations are tax-deductible)
Vivian and FOF would be so grateful! Please mail donations to: Friends of
Felines, Attn: Vivian's Fund, P.O. Box 8147, Stamford, CT 06905.
Thank you,
Sylvia Goncalves
