Eyebodega has just opened an installation in Big Law and are doing a series of furniture building workshops based on the work of conceptual designer
Enzo Mari.
They've agreed to do an internal workshop for Silent Barn with the aim of creating 10 custom built chairs and some tables for the main space for daytime cafe seating.
The workshop would need about 10 volunteers to work successfully (each person in charge of executing one chair). It's an awesome opportunity to learn how to build a Enzo Mari chair (which are designed with the idea of being low cost and extremely easy to build) while helping contribute to the space (and having FUN duh).
The wood will be pre-painted and treated with a polyurethane so that they will be weather resistant. During larger shows they can and should be placed in the yard as outdoor seating :)
Please let me know if you're down to volunteer for some chair building! The workshop will take place this Saturday, September 27th at 12pm. I'll have coffee, mimosas, and pastries for everyone :)
