Hi..
I am crruntly working on SHETRAN GUI version..
Dam catchment area in 275 Km2
But now i face a problem in SHETRAN running..kindly help me..
My DEM and Mask files are in larger data size..
How i can resuce the size of DEM nd MASK for SHETRAN GUI input??

I am request u..kindli help me please

Hi,
As you are probably aware there is a 50x50 limit on the GUI version and a 200x200 limit on the standard Shetran version. See: http://research.ncl.ac.uk/shetran/faq.htm.

If the number of grid squares is greater than the 50x50 limit in the GUI version they need to be reduced. This can be done by using a GIS (either ArcMap or QGIS) and using an aggregate tool. You can keep the finer resolution by using the standard version of Shetran. This has an Easy Setup so you can still use the DEM and Mask files you have produced.

I hope this helps. If not can you give me more details about the grid resolution you are using and the number of rows and columns in the mask and DEM.

Am facing an error, when i run shetran after uploading the data files..
This error box appear every time..
Kindly help me for its solution

There was a grid sqaure within the catchment mask withan elevation equal to or less than zero
Located at row 7 and column 31
Shetran will attempt to automatically correct
Fortran Pause-Enter command<CR> or <CR> to continue

This is telling you to press the Enter/Return key. But you should also look at your data in row 7 and column 31 and see why you are getting this error. Normally there is a zero elevation but the catchment mask says it is within the catchment. If you are still struggling can you send the dem and catchment mask files and I will have a look.
