1. Nail length indicates what instrument they play, or if they play one.
Short nails = classical string or piano
- Violinists/violists: May have a small indentation, discoloration, scab on neck/shoulder side from instrument rest. (only serious players)
Short nails on left (must press frets cleanly), long on right
(if they fingerpick): guitar, banjo
2. To find hand dominance
- More worn/lumpy pocket = dominant hand (used more to retrieve things)
- writing bump / writer's callus (bump on your finger from pencils or pens)
- Which side watch is worn (opposite wrist) - this one's kind of basic, but I didn't see it on the list yet, so just in case.
