The Zuruna Middle Eastern Music Ensemble will play a concert of Arabic (and a bit of Turkish) music as part of the Music and Art Series at St. Thomas Episcopal church in Denver.
Admission to this concert is by donation only. Give what you can...nobody turned away for lack of funds. Proceeds go to pay the musicians and are gratefully accepted.
A reception will follow the concert in the Great Hall. There is free parking in the church lot on the southwest corner of 22nd Avenue and Dexter Street.
Zuruna is a traditional Middle Eastern music ensemble committed to sharing the beautiful sounds and rhythms of Arabic music with all people. Their repertoire includes classical and folk forms, including Muwashshah, Samai and Debke. The ensemble interprets pieces written by composers such as Mohammad Abd Al-Wahhab, the Rahbani brothers and Bagligh Hamdi among others.
Please come out, support, and enjoy! --James
