A VERY special treat - Jesse Manno, James Hoskins, and Beth Quist - all founding members of Sherefe will be performing live at the Muse.

iX (Formerly known as ImprovExotica) is the name of this trio, which combines original, fully improvised compositions, Balkan and Middle Eastern folk music, South Asian, and experimental Western forms.

Blending centuries-old musical traditions with modern sensibilities, iX invites listeners on a live immersive sonic journey that transcends genre and geography.

All three members are world class multi-instrumentalists and vocalists. 

Their collective instrumentation includes oud, cello, gudulka, hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, saz, flutes, duduk, piano, electronics, and an array of global percussion—anchored by powerful, shape-shifting vocal work.

Together, Manno, Hoskins, and Quist create an experience that is both ancient and immediate, ceremonial and boundary-breaking—a communion of voices and instruments speaking in a language beyond words.
