As many of you know, our friend and dance teacher / leader Diane Montgomery passed away in April. Based in Ft. Collins, Diane was a real force in the folk dance / swing dance / music appreciation world in Colorado. She taught swing dancing, tap and folk dancing for many years, including at Colorado State University; co-founded Storm Mountain Folk Dancers; and for many years ran a Ft. Collins radio show about traditional music all over the world. She was a tireless enthusiast of Eastern European / Middle Eastern dance and music and helped support many people in attending Balkan music and dance camps. She taught through her example how to deeply inhabit and enjoy music and dancing.
