Position:QA Lead
Location:Mount Laurel, NJ
Duration:6+Months

Rate:$37/hr on Corp to Corp Max

 

Skill and Role Summary:
 o   Test Lead Role/Test Coordinator
o    Retail banking knowledge is must
o    Strong QA fundamentals and background
o    Minimum 8-9 years plus QA experience
o    Minimum 4-5 years of strong Test Coordination & Test lead experience
o    Should have SQL/Oracle Db fundamentals to build DB queries for data validation
o    Should have experience in multi tier (complex) financial applications
o    Experience on Bank Account Opening or Bank Account Number generation will be advantage

 

Main duties and responsibilities:
Testing Strategy & Management
Test Strategy
• Define and implement test processes, strategies and approaches based on development methodology for medium complexity test requirements with support from the Technical Architect and get buy in from different stakeholders
• Define test assessment strategies for client project requirements
• Create test assessment requirement questions and other test assessment artifacts
Test Management
• Manage different testing tracks for the integrated solution helping team members / track leads estimate and plan their tracks efficiently
• Share best practices on the team and encourages incorporation for delivery excellence
• Facilitate test assessment workshops and analyze workshop inputs independently to come up with test solutions based on client landscape
Test Estimation
• Will be involved in estimation of testing tasks for small to medium complexity projects with minimal guidance from the project lead
• Review and give inputs to test estimation
Test Planning and Execution
Test Planning
• Strategize conversion of high complexity business requirements from TRM / Telco / Energy services to high level requirements
• Ensure client buy-in for the test script strategy
• Guide teams to create complex integration and end to end scenarios with test data variations
• Analyse the requirements and be create the plan for test script creation
• Give oversight to a small team during test case creation and execution
• Analyse the requirements and create the test execution plan for medium to high technical complex application

 

Test Execution
• Ensure delivery of test execution results as per test cycle defined timelines
• Collect relevant metrics and do proper reporting for test execution
• Create and ensure the adherence of defect SLAs and follows up for closure
• Actively participate in defect triage meetings and updates defect details as per meeting outcomes
• Create more complex testing reports such as defect analysis reports identifying the area that has most number of defects, and reports showing defect closure rates
Defect Management
• Create and articulate the defect lifecycle process for different types of projects
• Fetch reports from the defect logging and tracking tools
• Analyse the defect report and give suggestions about decreasing the defects counts

 

Requirements:

Client facing skills/ Client Management:
o    Manage operational level clients independently
o    Develop strong relationships with operational level client stakeholders
o    Act as the primary POC for planned operational level meetings
o    Participate in client workshops as co-facilitator
Team Management
o    Manage a medium (5-7 member)team
o    Resolve issues and dependencies in the team
o    Create seamless processes for the team
o    Groom and mentor people
Testing Tools
o    Work on Test Management Tool (Quality centre) using their basic and advance features
o    Appear and get certified in at least one of the industry standard defect management , test management and automation tool
