I am trying to set up Shelve so that all I have to do is hit the Shelve button and it automatically saves the current web page.  I got it to save the page how and where I want it, but it opens a dialog where I have to select the shelve first.  I only have one shelve and I ticked the "Auto-Save" box, but it doesn't seem to do the job automatically.  Am I missing something?

Do I understand you right that you want shelve to always select your single shelf when you press the button without querying you to select a shelf?

Yes, that is what I am trying to do...click the button once and my web page is saved.

When defining a shelf, in the fourth tab, which is called "auto save" or
similar, there is a text field: "automatically use this shelf when the
URL matches this regexp" (or similar). Enter a dot (.) in this text box.
A dot matches any URL, this this shelf will always be selected.

That did it!  I looked over the Options so many times trying to figure it out, but somehow I didn't think to edit the shelf.  Had I checked that though, I seriously doubt I would have figured it out anyway.  I know this add-on is overkill for what I need, but I have a feeling I may need the other features in the future.  I'm using Firefox v26 and found many dedicated buttons for my task, but none worked for v26.

I thank you SO much.  I really appreciate the help.
