OT: Shelve for Chrome

Hi!

The only reason for me using Firefox is because of Shelve. Every other extension I am using can be found on Google Chrome browser as well.

Unfortunately, Firefox is getting slower and fatter (Facebook-Code in Firefox? #WTF). In recent days, Firefox grabbed 100% of one of my CPU cores from time to time and is loosing some(?) tabs when re-starting a session :-(

So: are there any plans to port Shelve to Chrome as well? I'd love to have an option.

Hi!

I currently don't use chrome so I personally don't have plans to develop such an extension. The last time I looked I didn't find a way to save a file to disk. The situation seems to have changed since there is a "save as MHTML" method and maybe the html5 filesystem api.

A pity, as a Shelf extension for Chrome would be great :-)

I have finally started using Chrome as my main browser after finding the "Sidewise Tree Style Tab" extension.

Oh well, I still plan to keep using Firefox for Banking etc., so I can just keep pasting pages into firefox to save via Shelf, for the moment.

I am making the move now as I have so many Google devices with Chrome on and Chrome is sufficiently mature that I can replace most of my firefox extensions.

Also it seems that Chrome is developing a technical lead and will be developed at quite a fast pace for the foreseeable future.

And while I don’t trust Google as far as I trust Mozilla, I do trust then quite a lot.

Just my 2 cents ;-)
