I’m entering emails to the Litter Committee’s blog, which I have not posted on since 2022. You should be receiving invitations to author posts shortly. https://donttrashshelton.blogspot.com/2022/05/.
There’s a lot more that could be done with this blog! With the Trails Committee’s blog, I write posts and then share them on Facebook. We used to have several people who posted about trails work parties and other efforts, and are now down to just two. The Trails Committee uses the blog as a sort of history marker, so we can look up how old a particular bridge or trail is and who made it, for example. I printed out some of the posts and organized them in a binder. Here’s the Trails Blog: https://sheltontrailscom.blogspot.com
When writing a new post, there is one bewildering glitch everyone runs into: You suddenly you see a chaos of computer code. Blogspot slipped into the “HTML view.” To get back into “Compose View”, look for the pencil icon on the far upper left and click that.
When sharing a post on Facebook, it helps if the first picture on the post is eye-catching, because that’s what Facebook will show. There’s a website I use called Facebook Debugger where you enter the URL of a new post and it scrapes it so that it posts properly on FB. Otherwise the preview may not show the photo.
